Larger quantities on request! Sowing instructions The seeds of Pisum sativum convar. sat. "Douce Provence" are ideal for early cultivation. You can sow them outdoors from February to May as soon as the soil is frost-free. Make a 3 cm deep seed furrow and place the seeds about 5 cm apart. The row spacing should be around 40-50 cm to give the plants enough space. It is important to keep the soil regularly moist but avoid waterlogging. A sunny to partially shaded location provides optimal growing conditions. Harvest, use & storage The sweet, crunchy peas of the "Douce Provence" variety can be harvested after just 10 to 12 weeks, depending on the weather. Harvest the pods regularly to encourage the plants to continue producing. The peas are versatile - whether raw in salads, steamed as a side dish or in stews and soups. You can freeze the peas for storage, allowing them to retain their fresh taste for months. Tips & Tricks A light trellis supports growth and makes harvesting easier.
